Effect Of Music And Singing Classes On Kids Brain
Having said that, music also improves one’s mood, decreases pain and anxiety, and facilitates
opportunities for emotional expression, it contributes physically and mentally. It does serve
a very essential purpose in the human race, music makes one stronger.
Music is a significant quirk of the human race. It’s all about our cultures; from the pristine times
to the advanced, there’s always been music. In tune or not, humans sing and croon, clap and
sway, and dance and leap.
A study ripped for better understanding:
In a study, kids within the age of six were divided into four groups. The first group was given
school singing classes the second was given school and private music lessons, the third had absolutely no lessons,
and the fourth group was given only art lessons, this was done for over a period of two and a
half years.
The results showed that the group which had both the school and the private music lessons
had greater memory and vocabulary potential. The group that had art lessons had a very positive effect on the child's visual and spatial memory. Thus, the results concluded
that music lessons can influence a child’s cognitive ability in completely unrelated subjects,
leading to overall improved academic performance.
